Write up a checklist in your blog of what to include in a good review show.



Lesson 2 

Blog Post task 

Group discussion as to what to include in a good review show.

Practical /mic demo

Vox Pop 

Vox pops on your product

You will ask 4-5 other classmates who have consumed your product

You will ask 3-4 questions about your product. Think about your podcast analysis and what questions would be best to ask. 

E.G. 
What did you feel worked best about the game?
What improvements could the product of had?
What did you think of the product?

Risk assessments and recce's

Now you've been out on location, you have already made your first mistake!

Location recce's need to be made to source risks and hazards 

On your next recording you need to source locations and work out the risks involved 

Risk assessments and location recces will be used on majority of your units. Start to get familiar with them and think about filling one out for the classroom

Sound software: Audition

Cut the vox pops to music

Use free music archive and freesound for music and sound effects. sign up and decide on what genre of music you will have for your intro and between your Vox pops 


Ideas sheet task - Document

Create an ideas sheet for your podcast review:
- What interview questions will you include 
- How will you structure your show
- Links between interviewee answers
- What sound clips will your show include 
- What guests will you have? Type of tone 
- What will your facts file include 


Create your own asset list and how you will gather the asset 

Use this document and explain who will gather the asset and how 




Lesson 4

P1: Learners produce pre-production materials for a planned original audio media product 


Moodboard 

- Create a moodbaord using pictures that represent your product and typical audience viewers. Use Microsoft Word to collage images which you will add to your treatment later on.


Treatment


True detective treatment 

- A treatment is a visual representation of your idea. describing and visualising your product on paper. Key elements are thought out. 
- Use your ideas sheet and start to think about visualising your idea in your treatment. 

Asset list & Equipment list should also be updated to your blog 




Lesson 5

Lesson starter if not gone over in previous lessons.

Risk assessments and Location Recce examples about recording and renting rooms/equipment 


Production schedule 

You need to work out the order of your project. Each task or asset needs to be in an order of completion.

You will start with your pre production materials and gathering everything you need to record. Your assets and tasks should be dated with a completion date. 

You should include all recordings as well as editing time.

Include these dates:

- Script first draft
- All recordings (review, fact file and links)
- Sound bite/music gathering 
- Editing first draft 
- Feedback 
- Final Edit 
- Launch date for podcast
